John Deere 1030 tractor was built in Germany during the seventies (from
1973 until 1979). The tractor gets it’s power from a 3 cylinder
engine. This engine uses a liquid cooling system and has a total power
output of 46 hp. The engine has a total volume of 2.7 liters. The engine
is built into a 4X2 2WD chassis. It has a choice of 2 different gearboxes
to transfer power from the engine to the rear wheels. The first gearbox
choice gives the driver 16 speeds going forwards and 8 for reversing.
The other choice gives the JD 1030 half this amount, 8 speeds traveling
forward and 4 for reversing.
